Intermediate/Advanced Clinic Offered 2/18/12
San Francisco Soccer Football League (SFSFL) and CNRA are offering an Advanced/Intermediate Clinic on February 18, 2012 for referees interested in working Amateur Division matches. The clinic will be held at San Francisco State University campus in San Francisco. See the SFSFL web site for additional information.

Updated Kicks from the Mark Memo
USSF has issued an update to the Kicks from the Penalty Mark checklist memorandum. Previous versions of the checklist should not be used. A summary checklist has been created and may be more convenient to carry with your referee gear. Referees anticipating the potential for matches which may require KFTM should carefully review the memorandum.

New Memos Issued by USSF
USSF has issued the following 3 memos:
1: "I Got The Ball" (8/5/11)
2: "The Referee's Signal for Advantage" (8/5/11)
3: "An Unusual Approach to the Ball for a Penalty Kick" (8/19/11)

Entry Level Clinic Format Revised
District 4 Director of Instruction, Jerry Nelson, has announced the Entry Level Clinic format has been revised to include an on-the-field session. League Coordinators should review the updated ELC Requirements document before submitting requests for Entry Level Clinics.

Information for New Referees - 2010
USSF has issued Information for New Referees - 2010. This new booklet contains useful tips and advice how to be a referee.

2009/2010 Advice to Referees
USSF has issued to 2009/2010 Advice to Referees. The Advice to Referees is specifically intended to give USSF referees, assistant referees and fourth officials a reliable compilation of those international and national guidelines remaining in force, as modified or updated.

Referee Week in Review
USSF publishes the Referee Week in Review which provides the latest interpretations and guidance for referees. The review provides examples based on professional matches with narrative and video clips. This informative publication breaks down the steps referees should follow in their decision making. It is applicable to referees of all grades. The review is authoritative and is to be used by referee instructors and assessors in providing the latest information to referees. The reviews can be accessed from the Referee Program page on the USSF web site (http://s/Referees/Week-In-Review.aspx).

USSF has released the Advice to New Referees, which both new and experienced referees will find instructional and interesting.

League/Club Referee Assignors can be found on the District Contacts page. If you are looking for an assignment in a League near you, or will be visiting another League's area and would like to ask for a game assignment, contact that League's assignor.
